Payment Methods, Currencies and Errors

Learn how billing works for the CHAMELAION's video translation platform, including supported payment methods, currencies, VAT handling and subscription management.

Our Payment Process

We process all payments with Stripe. The prices shown in our Plans are net prices; VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country and tax status. You receive a downloadable invoice for every successful charge.

Accepted payment methods

  • Credit or debit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others

  • PayPal

  • SEPA Direct Debit for accounts in the SEPA area

Currencies

We support multiple currencies through our payment carrier Stripe. The checkout always shows the exact currency that will be charged. If your card is in a different currency, your bank applies the exchange rate and any possible fees. Contact your bank for more information on costs and exchange rates.

Paying as a business, VAT handling

All plan prices are net, that is, without VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout and shown as a separate line on the invoice.

To enter company details in Stripe checkout:

  1. Tick “I am buying as a business.”

  2. Enter your Company name.

  3. Enter your VAT ID.

    • Use the full format with country code, for example, DE123456789.

  4. Complete the payment.

Result: Your invoice will show your company information and a separately itemised VAT amount. If Stripe cannot validate the VAT ID, tax will be calculated in accordance with the law for your location.

Invoices and billing profile

  • After each charge, you get a PDF invoice by email, and you can download it by clicking "Manage Subscription" on the bottom right of the Plans page.

  • You can update your billing address, company name, VAT ID, and payment method from the Manage subscription page.

FAQ

Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Yes! But please contact our sales team if you want to switch to yearly billing. Yearly saves 20 per cent.

Do you support one-time top-ups?
Yes, from Bronze and above, you can buy Extra Tokens at any time.

How do I change my payment method?
Open Billing or Plans in the platform, click Manage subscription, then update your method.

Do you charge VAT on Enterprise?
Yes, VAT is handled the same way during invoicing. Enterprise invoices include your company details and itemised VAT.
