Short answer

Your project files run on servers in Europe only, and CHAMELAION operates in compliance with the GDPR.

What this means

  • EU hosting by default
All of our core application infrastructure and media processing run solely in European data centres.

  • GDPR safeguards
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and German law, including the rules on purpose limitation, security, and deletion.

  • Trusted subprocessors
Some services that support the product, for example, Google Firebase for sign-in, ElevenLabs for speech synthesis, DeepL for translation, OpenAI for context refinement, and Stripe for payments, may process limited data. International transfers use EU safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • Deletion by design
We keep your uploaded files and projects for as long as your account is active so that you can access and manage them at any time. We do not auto-delete inactive projects.

  • You control deletion. If you delete a project or file, we delete it immediately.

  • Account closure. If you close or delete your account, we will delete all of your projects and files.

  • Legal Exceptions. We may retain minimal billing or compliance records if required by law, separate from your media.
