Use projects to group your translated videos and audio files, collaborate with teammates, and keep “loose” files tidy.

Where to find Projects

  • Click Overview at the top to get to your home base.

  • Switch between Files and Projects with the tabs at the top.

    • Files show loose files that are not inside any project yet.

    • Projects shows two views: My Projects and Shared Projects.

Tip: In Files, click New File to upload your first file. In Projects, click New Project to create a project.

Create a project

  1. Go to Projects → My Projects and click New Project.

  2. General information, give the project a name, add an optional description, and click Continue.

  3. Access & rights: add teammates and choose their permissions, or leave it empty to keep the project private to you. Click Continue.

  4. Adding files, select any loose files from your Files tab to place into the project, or skip to create an empty project, and click Create.

How it behaves

  • Only the name is mandatory.

  • If you added people in step 3, the project will appear under Shared Projects for the people you shared it with. As the owner, it will always remain under My Projects for you.

  • Files you add to a project stop appearing as loose items in Files. You will find them inside the project.

Rename a project

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. On the project card, click the three dots menu and choose Edit Project.

  3. Change the Project name and, optionally, update the description or access settings.

  4. Click Save changes.

Delete a project

Danger zone: Deleting a project permanently removes it and all its files. This action cannot be undone💀.

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. On the project card, click the three dots menu and choose Delete Project.

  3. Confirm the deletion 🔴.

Put a file into a project

A) During upload

  1. Click New File.

  2. Confirm the detected source language.

  3. In Select a project, choose the target project from the dropdown.

  4. Click Confirm.

B) After upload, or to switch projects

  1. Go to Files, find your item.

  2. Click the three dots on the file card, choose Move to Project.

  3. In the dialogue, pick New Project, then Move File.

    • This works for both loose files and files that already live in another project.

    • After moving, the file inherits the destination project’s access and will no longer appear as a loose file.

How My Projects and Shared Projects Work

  • My Projects, everything you own, whether private or shared with others. Sharing your project with teammates does not move it out of My Projects for you.

  • Shared Projects, projects that someone else owns and has shared with you. These appear here for collaborators, not for the owner.

  • You can add or remove collaborators at any time via Edit Project.

Quick FAQ

  • Can I create an empty project? Yes, just don't select any files in the last step of creating a new project 👍.

  • Can I change who has access later? Yes, use Edit Project in the three dots menu 💯.

  • Where did my file go after I added it to a project? It moves out of Files and lives inside that project.
